1999
Kunsthandel Frans Jacobs Fine Arts was an early adopter of automation. In the late nineties the Rolodex was replaced by a contact database. In early 2000 the Amsterdam art dealer, on the advice of an ambitious intern, also entered their modern art collection into a database. That intern became the founder and managing partner of Kempen Automatisering.
